"The right to be forgotk" in Russian legislation

From January 1, 2016, a new version of the Federal Law "On Information, Information Technologies and Information Protection" will come into force, which will give individuals (applicants) the right to demand from Internet search resources to stop issuing links to sites containing certain information about applicants. In the Russian media, these amendments were quickly called the "right to be forgotten" by analogy with the concept of "the right to be forgotten" in the legislation of the European Union.

A brief overview of these legislative changes can be found in the information letter of the MGAP Law Office.
